What is the 24 Hours of Lemons?
The 24 Hours of Lemons is a play on the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans — one of the most prestigious endurance races in the world. Except instead of million-dollar prototypes, you race cars that cost $500 or less.
Teams buy a beater, make it safe, make it run, and race it for a full weekend on real road courses. The driving is real. It's grassroots motorsport at its most raw — part endurance race, part mechanical disaster, part comedy.
The race was founded in 2006 and has grown into one of the largest amateur racing series in the country, with events at tracks like Sonoma Raceway, Thunderhill, and Road Atlanta. Thousands of teams compete each year.
The Expeditionary is fielding a Red team and a Blue team at Sonoma Raceway on December 5–6, 2026. All proceeds from ticket sales and donor drive slots benefit veterans.
